Luau tonite. C Man is going to enjoy the hula girls.
C Man was not impressed by the food, he actually didn’t eat that much. It was “okay”, according to him. The best part according to him was the pineapple drink and chocolate Mac nut dessert. The show was good, C Man got to go on stage with the kids to learn how to hula… it was embarrassing as stated by C Man. I love watching his facial expressions, he rolls his eyes and moves around the stage with the rest of the kids. He was thankful his friends weren’t there to see him; although we did tell him he is on video and we could give him copies for family and friends and download something on you tube, C Man was not thrilled with that suggestion and proceeded to be or at least act like he was mad at me. I actually got a little free time and blogged.
According to C Man, the best part was where the guys played with fire, he was in awe that they had the fire rolling around on their feet and actually put it in their mouth. He talked about it for days.
When we left the luau we walked around for awhile and talked about the trip. He seemed to be thinking about something and was very quiet. He looks at us and says “tomorrow is our last day, we are leaving in the night, right?” Yes, we tell him. We will find a place to get your souvenirs and hang out until we catch our flight home. Ok, he says. I am going to miss all the pretty trees, flowers and the beaches. We smile and go back to the condo, watch a little TV, then go to bed. Before he goes to bed, he goes out on the lanai and just sits for awhile taking in all the noises and enjoying the breeze. He is smiling and I thought I heard him say “Best day ever” just as he goes into his bedroom.
