Ok, if you mention the word “yarn” to my hubby he would “roll his eyes and groan”; he has gone to every “yarn” store from Colorado to California to Virginia in these last 6 months that for him will last a lifetime. For you see, once I retired I realized my hands are not so stiff and I can crochet again. I began crocheting hats for my new grandson, my daughters, teaching my grandkids how to crochet, then I started making coasters; not just any coaster… cat coasters for my hubbys step mom. Now I am working on a couple afghans. One is granny squares and other on is a hexagon. Yes, I now have 2 working on 3 plastic containers filled with yarn. Not just small containers; they used to be for Christmas decorations but I have consolidated Christmas and ended up using the empties for you guessed it…. yarn.
When yarn is on sale, I gotta go look at all the colors. Wow… so many colors of yarn, so many projects to do. So for me yarn is turning pretty colors of string into something that is beautiful. “Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder” as they say…
Don’t forget to do some whimsical wanderings today, tomorrow or soon!!
hats I crocheted:
Cat bookmarker and cat coasters.
