Tamale Time

So its kind of a tradition for some families to make tamales for the holidays. This past summer I decided to ask my sister if she would teach me how to make them; the last time I tried was at least 30 plus years ago. So anyway, when we got to her house we went shopping for the ingredients and she showed me what our mom had shown her. One of her stories was that her masa was dry so she called mom and mom talked her through on how to get a tastier and jucier tamale. I will be making these in the next couple weeks so I will post the recipe and pictures. Here are some pictures of us having fun… Oh yeah… she also showed me how to make empanada’s… the easy way. Wow to both!!

Thanks to my lil sis for taking the time to share these secrets. (shh… don’t tell that I will share them with you ha ha)

Love you Sis….
