Rum balls

Wanted to REBLOG this since football season is here, Thanksgiving and Christmas are almost here and I am sure there are those who want to indulge… Try the rum balls with a nice glass of red wine!! They are soooooo good! enjoy and then let me know what you think of them …. oh and my blogs! smile…

 I have made these for awhile and this year I decided to try making some using half and half instead of rum. The results were great but now what do I call them? Choco balls? no rum balls? hmmmm.... You decide. 1 3/4 cup vanilla wafer crumbs (almost the texture of flour) 1 cup ground pecans (optional) 1 cup confectioners sugar 1/4 cup cocoa 3 tablespoons light corn syrup 1/4 cup light rum (or any other alcohol, your choice) 1/3 cup confectioners sugar (for dipping) ** I substituted the rum for half n half and wow... it was good. Mix all ingredients EXCEPT 1/3 cup confectioners sugar. Let stand for one hour. Roll into one inch balls ** from here, you can…
